Robin Lee Kennedy is the author of Warrior’s Daughter, a six-book illustrated saga about girls, women, power, and what happens when we begin questioning the stories we were taught about ourselves.

Before she became an author, Robin spent nearly twelve years in the United States Marine Corps and the U. S. Army, and nearly three decades working in technology, cybersecurity, and risk—places where she learned a great deal about systems: how they are built, how they maintain themselves, and how difficult they can be to see when you are standing inside them.

Warrior’s Daughter grew from a question that became increasingly difficult for her to ignore:

What began as Ari Rowan’s story became an exploration of something much larger—the assumptions women inherit, the structures that reinforce them, and the extraordinary amount of human capability we may never discover when opportunity is withheld.

Robin is also the founder of RISE United and the craftsperson behind the remembered artifacts found throughout the Museum at ThoraGreyhawk.com. She works from her home and workshop in rural Virginia, where writing, woodworking, metalwork, history, archaeology, technology, and an unreasonable number of ideas tend to collide.

She does not write stories about women becoming powerful.
